Van Gogh painted Almond Blossom to celebrate the birth of his nephew, and it remains one of the most joyful paintings he ever made: delicate white flowers against a sky of brilliant blue. This build-it-yourself bouquet turns that springtime feeling into a sculpture you can hold. It makes a lovely new-baby or new-home gift, or a fresh bit of color for your own space, any time of year.

Meet the makers: Studio ROOF, Amsterdam

Studio ROOF began in 2005 as a family project: Romy and Ilya started it with their three young children, convinced that creativity, play and sustainability belong together. Twenty years later it's an internationally loved design brand run by a team of ten, with the kids, now grown, still involved. Every piece is made from recycled cardboard and printed with vegetable inks, then built by you: a few minutes of hands-on fun that leave you with a lasting, colorful work of art. We're proud to bring a bit of Dutch design playfulness to DC.
